About Exopto Cosecha
Exopto Cosecha is a red wine from the D.O. Rioja, crafted by Bodegas Exopto.
This wine is a blend of Garnacha, Tempranillo, and Graciano. The grapes are sourced from vineyards averaging 50 years in age. Harvesting is done manually into 12kg boxes. The grapes undergo fermentation in concrete tanks at low temperatures, are macerated for 15 days, and then aged for six months in concrete and oak.
The aim is to harmonise the freshness and fruitiness typical of young wines with the contributions of the wood, achieving this in a simply delightful manner.
Exopto is a Latin term meaning "to desire strongly." This term aptly describes the sensation experienced when tasting the winery's offerings for the first time. Wines from La Rioja that deviate from the norm, showcasing a distinct and robust character.
