Angelitos Negros is a red wine from the D.O Toro produced by Vinos y Viñedos de La Casa Maguila.
Through a careful and traditional winemaking process, the winery seeks to produce a wine that reflects the life of the vineyard, through the fruitiness and acidity provided by the wine.
Angelitos Negros is made exclusively with the Tinta de Toro grape variety. The grapes used come from a vineyards between 20 and 40 years old, cultivated both on trellises (20%) as well as the traditional low bush vines (80%). The vineyards are home to predominantly sandy lime and sandy soils. The harvest is carried out manually, with the grapes being selected first at the vineyard, then again at the winery at a selection table.
In regards to the vinification process, fermentation is carried out using whole (30%) and pressed (70%) grapes. Following this, malolactic fermentation is carried out in cement tanks. Following the vinification process, Angelitos Negros is aged for 6 months in first and second year French and American oak barrels.
