Chilean wine

A winemaking paradise

Chile is one of the pleasant surprises of the New World, a country which lives in constant growth and has established itself as the main exporter of South American wines. Thanks to its privileged climate, it’s known as "the winemaking paradise".

In addition Chile is one of the few countries in the world that hasn’t been affected by the phylloxera pest. There are three varieties which dominate in its vineyards: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. It’s worth mentioning that much of what used to be sold as Merlot is actually Carménère, a grape that produces elegant and velvety red wines which has become an identity standard for Chilean wines.
