Rioja, a rich and long wine-making history with centuries of tradition

Rioja wines are part of the heritage of Spain, being one of the most recognized brands and enjoying great international fame. The production of Rioja wines dates back to the late nineteenth century, when Riojan winemakers began experimenting with new aging techniques from France. Over the years, barrel aging has become one of the main features of Rioja wines. This technique allows the wines to be enriched with smoky and toasted aromas and acquire a unique flavor and color.
