About Cuatro Rayas Organic Verdejo

Cuatro Rayas Organic Verdejo is a white wine made with the Verdejo variety by the Cuatro Rayas winery, in Valladolid, Spain, in the D.O. Rueda.
 
The Cuatro Rayas Organic Verdejo wine is made using Verdejo grapes from plots cultivated according to the principles of certified organic agriculture. The grape bunches are harvested at night to guarantee keeping the fruit’s qualities in tact. The must ferments in stainless steel tanks and spends 3 months on its fine lees, with periodic stirring.
 
The Cuatro Rayas cooperative winery was set up in 1935 as Agrícola Castellana and after almost 80 years they underwent a complete overhaul. As well as changing their name to the current one, Cuatro Rayas, they also began engaging in a number of projects, one of which is a commitment to social and environmental sustainability, a philosophy they have called green & social.
 
With Cuatro Rayas Organic Verdejo, the winery pays tribute to biodiversity and reaffirms its commitment to respect fauna and the natural environment in order to maintain a balance in the wine agrosystem. Cuatro Rayas Organic Verdejo is also suitable for vegans. 
 
2022 Cuatro Rayas Organic Verdejo 2022 is a white wine with pleasant citrus and balsamic aromas that is fruity and full of freshness on the palate. A pleasant wine, with a long aftertaste and well-integrated acidity, with a slightly bitter finish, very varietal.

The bouquet retains this vivacity, brimming with citrus fruit aromas and balsamic undertones. On the palate, it is flavorsome and exhibits remarkable persistence.
