Cuatro Rayas Fermentado en Barrica is a single-variety Verdejo white wine produced by the Cuatro Rayas winery in the D.O. Rueda, in Valladolid, Spain.
 
To make the Cuatro Rayas Fermentado en Barrica wine, they use grape bunches from plots that are over 30 years old and are harvested by hand. The must ferments in French Allier and American oak barrels and spends about 6 months on its lees, depending on the vintage, receiving periodic stirrings that enhance its personality and bring volume and silkiness.
 
Cuatro Rayas started as Bodega Cooperativa de La Seca, Valladolid, and now, after more than 80 years of experience thanks to the hard work of the winemaking families running the winery, now called Cuatro Rayas, it is going from strength to strength. They are committed to innovation but always with an eye on the past. They work to recover the old vineyards and native yeasts of their ancestors to preserve all the character and personality of the local Verdejo grape and hold onto their identity as the years pass by.
 
Cuatro Rayas Fermentado en Barrica is a very varietal white wine with a mixture of tastes and smells of the Verdejo variety in all its splendour, accompanied by that special touch brought by the subtle nuances of the wood. This wine is also vegan.
