Valdespino Rare Spirits Brandy de Jerez
A Gran Reserva aged over 30 years old
Valdespino Rare Spirits Brandy de Jerez is a spirit with an intense amber colour, very bright with greenish tones. On the nose, its noble and complex aromas, typical of its age, stand out. The hazelnut and the sharp and intense touches stand out. The palate is very dry, yet harmonious. Long and lingering finish.
Characteristics Valdespino Rare Spirits Brandy de Jerez
You could say that three decades is a lifetime (or almost a lifetime). And what do you think about the opportunity to drink the equivalent of all these years? Yes. You’ve read that correctly. How would you like to be able to drink a brandy almost as old as you are? Valdespino Rare Spirits Brandy de Jerez is that drink.
From a very small solera of very few casks, Valdespino Rare Spirits Brandy de Jerez is one of the most special spirits you can find. Valdespino Rare Spirits Brandy de Jerez comes from a very small reserve destined for the private use of the Valdespino family, the owners of one of the most important and long-established wineries of the D.O. Jerez-Xérès-Sherry. For more than a century, specifically since 1856, this batch has been stored in the winery, aging little by little in old casks used for finos and amontillados, until it saw the light of day again in 2016. However, when it comes to the Valdespino winery, 30 years is nothing. According to history, the origin of these wineries dates back to 1264 (the time of Alfonso X), when the knight Don Alfonso Valdespino fought alongside this king, and 23 other knights, in the reconquest of Al Andaluz. Once the fight was over, and in compensation for his bravery, the king rewarded the nobleman with the concession of land in Jerez de la Frontera, and since then, the company has remained active, passing through different hands and owners.
Valdespino Rare Spirits Brandy de Jerez is a Gran Reserva that is part of the Valdespino Rare Spirit Collection. A unique opportunity to savour history.
