Characteristics Terras Gauda La Mar
La Mar is a white wine produced by Bodegas Terras Gauda in the Rías Baixes region. The wine is a blend of Caíño Blanco (85%), Albariño (10%) and Loureiro (5%).
Caíno Blanco grapes mature at a later stage. They are a very delicate and sensitive to fungi and bacteria, which means there must be intervention from the vineyard. But in turn this is a variety capable of embodying the maximum characteristics of the terroir.
The harvest is carried out manually, with the grapes being transported to the winery in small 20kg capacity boxes to ensure that they do not break and that they arrive in the best condition. The different grape varieties are through the vinification process seperately. They undergo cold maceration, which takes a little longer for the Caíno grapes, a variety with a higher percentage of skin, in order to take advantage of the extraction of the aromas is performed.
Once fermentation is carried out, and the 3 varieties have been blended, La Mar sits on its lees for three months with regular battonages. It is then allowed to stand at a low temperature for 6 months before being bottled, where it then again rests for another 7 before being put onto the market.
We recommend that you open this wine some time before consumption. La Mar will have an evolution in bottle over the next three years, gaining complexity and maturity.

Very intense yellow with a plentiful tear.
The first impression on the nose is reminiscent of tropical fruit such as mango and pineapple. A mineral wine with pleasant notes of soil, aromatic herbs and an engulfing creamy background.
