About Tarima Hill
Tarima Hill is a red wine from D.O. Alicante produced by Bodegas Volver in Pinoso, a town in Alicante with a great wine tradition. The winery was founded in 2004 by Rafael Cañizares, a renowned oenologist in the area of La Mancha, and Jorge Ordoñez, a well-known imported of Spanish wines. All its vineyards are planted in vase-shape, so agriculture is carried out traditionally with no machinery.
This wine is a single-variety of Monastrell from old vineyards that are between 40 and 75 years old located in Sierra de la Sima. The altitude of the vineyards provides a particular microclimate, continental with Mediterranean influences, that causes temperature variations between day and night. This results in a good balance between the optimal ripening and the acidity that gives the wine a touch of freshness.
The grapes are harvested manually and refined for 14 months in French oak barrels.

Its succulent texture and dense flavor profile render Tarima Hill 2021 a distinguished selection for connoisseurs who value wines with distinctiveness and zest. |

2015 | Tarima Hill 2015 is produced in a very good vintage in which Rafael Cañizares has been able to extract the full potential of the Monastrell variety. It is a full-bodied wine, with a lot of concentration and great balance between fruit and wood. Tarima Hill is a delight for people looking for wines that are very muscular. | |
2012 | On the palate it is full bodied, powerful and juicy. Cherry red color with a garnet rim. Medium-high intensity. On the nose there are hints of blueberries, blackberries and spicy touches. Mineral notes. |
|
2010 | In the mouth, it is fleshy and tasty and it has a marked, high-bodied and structured mid palate with abundant notes of fruit, a good acidity and ripe and polished tannins. Long and very persistent wine with toasted and fruity aromas. A pleasant red wine with an excellent value for money. Nice and intense dark cherry colour with violet reflections. Clean and bright, high robe wine with beautiful dense tears. Tarima Hill 2010 has a high aromatic intensity. Its aromas of ripe black fruit (blueberries and blackberries) are very well integrated with its spicy notes, its roasted hints and its touch of cacao and roasted coffee. Intense hints of violets are also noticed. Subtle mineral background. |
