About Preludio de Sei Solo

Preludio de Sei Solo is a red wine from the Ribera del Duero D.O. produced by Bodegas Sei Solo. It is a single-varietal Tinto Fino.

The origin of Preludio de Sei Solo is the same as that of Sei Solo, sharing vinification and aging. However, over time, Preludio de Sei Solo has taken its own path, with a more robust and fresh profile.

The grapes for Preludio de Sei Solo come from nine small parcels of young vineyards (between 15 and 60 years old) located in the town of La Horra, in the province of Burgos.

The grapes, which are grown using integrated viticulture, go through a destemming process upon arrival at the winery. Subsequently, they undergo a cold maceration. Before aging, there is controlled-temperature fermentation in small-capacity wooden tanks. Finally, Preludio de Sei Solo ages in American oak barrels, where both young and used wood are blended.

Preludio de Sei Solo is part of Javier Zaccagnini's more personal project, who was the former president of the Ribera del Duero Regulatory Council and co-founder of Aalto winery. The name comes from Johann Sebastian Bach's work "Sei Solo a Violino senza Basso accompagnato," of whom Zaccagnini declares himself an admirer
