About Martín Códax Marieta Albarino Semiseco

Marieta is a white wine from the D.O Rías Baixas produced by the winery Martín Códax. This winery is located in the town of Cambados (Pontevedra).

Marieta is 100% produced from the varietal Albariño. The grapes originate from small parcels that have been trained to grow on high trellises.

The harvest is performed by hand in 20kg containers.

For its production, the wine is alcoholically fermented at a controlled 16-18ºC in stainless steel containers. Before the fermentation is finished, the process is stopped by the use of a rapid cooling. This method is used to maintain the residual sugar of the wine at 14gr/L.

Marieta is the first semi-dry Albariño wine ever produced.

2022 Marieta 2022 is a semi-dry white wine that offers intense aromas of white fruits (pears, apples) on the nose, accompanied by a citrus note reminiscent of orange. The palate has a sweet entry accompanied by a slight bubble that adds freshness. An innovative and fun Albariño.
2021

Marieta 2021 is a semi-dry white wine. Vibrant and refreshing, it boasts a yellow hue with lemon highlights. The bouquet is robust, featuring scents of pear, apple, quince, and melon atop a citrus foundation (orange). The palate is indulgent and profound, replete with fruity and citrus flavors. Pure enjoyment incarnate.

2019

Marieta 2019 is an aromatic white wine boasting pronounced scents of white fruit, zesty citrus highlights, and herbal nuances. On the palate, it is forthright, vivacious, and enduring. A fruit-forward wine with a delightful citrus-infused finish.

2017 Marieta 2017 is an aromatic white wine, semi-dry in the mouth. Martín Códax has managed to find the perfect balance between the residual sugar and the acidity of the variety, resulting in a perfect wine for all kinds of appetizers.
2014 On the palate, the wine is creamy and full flavoured. Passing is juicy and unctuous with a presence of citric and white fruit. Persistent finish.

Intense yellow. Bright and expressive.

Intense and elegant aromas, highlighting white fruit (pear, apple, melon) on a citric base. Floral and mineral notes.
2013 Lightly bubbly, tantalising and intense on the palate. Fruity and citric retro-olfaction.

Yellow with lemon reflections.

A high intensity wine. Fleshy white fruit hints like pear, apple, dragée and melon are prominent. A citric and orange backdrop.
2011 This white wine has a silky attack and a good mid palate in which it coats the mouth with creamy feelings. It has a great outstanding acidity, which provides it with a good freshness and a good livelyness. In the retronasal, very fruity fuity notes are felt along with hints of citrus.

Nice pale yellow colour with greenish reflections. Clean and bright wine with medium-intensity tears.

Good aromatic intensity with outstanding sweet notes of ripe white fruits, hints of baked apples and peach. Later, some notes of citrus appear along with floral and grassy hints, which provide it with freshness.
