Brandy 1866 Gran Reserva is a delicate, dry and deep brandy, with great aromatic intensity, where notes of vanilla, cocoa and nuts stand out. The palate is smooth, accompanied by magnificent flavours, with notes of raisins, honey and sweet citrus peel. A velvety caress on the palate with a deliciously warm finish. About Brandy 1866 Gran Reserva

This is how the judges of The International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) Joel Harrison, Barry McCaurgley, Caroline Roddis, and Timothy Falzon described Brandy 1866 Gran Reserva at the awards ceremony where it was bestowed the Grape Brandy Trophy 2022, recognising it as the Best Brandy in the world.
 
At Osborne, the house that produces it in the Marco de Jerez (Spain), they define Brandy 1866 Gran Reserva as a masterpiece. It is crafted from the distillation, in old copper stills, of selected wines which are subsequently aged in sherry casks that have housed the finest fortified wines of the winery.
 
This aging process is carried out in a unique, unprecedented system consisting of 16 scales or criaderas. A process with over a hundred years of history that achieves a smooth brandy, with great aromatic complexity and a special salinity on the palate, characteristics that have earned it such a distinguished accolade.
