About Cortijo los Aguilares Pinot Noir

Cortijo Pinot Noir is a red wine from the D.O. Sierras de Málaga made by the Cortijo de los Aguilares winery. Unsurprisingly, this is a single-variety pinot noir. 

All the grapes used for Cortijo Pinot Noir come from a single three-hectare vineyard. This is located 900 metres above sea level and grows on clay and limestone soil, which is characteristic of the area. 

Production is carried out following traditional methods. Cortijo Pinot Noir is not aged according to customary practices: one part of the wine ages in up to 500 litre oak barrels and the other rests in large 1600 litre cement casks.
