About Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Rosé

Champagne has come to be associated with sports, undoubtedly because of the famous act of spraying this sparkling wine to celebrate a competition win. The first time this happened was at the Le Mans 24 Hours race in 1967 with a bottle of Moët & Chandon. And it became a classic from then on.

Founded in 1973 by Claude Moët, the first winemaker in Champagne to produce exclusively sparkling wine and an expert salesman, they soon became one of the few merchants with permission to serve within the royal circles of Versailles (France). One of their most enthusiastic customers was Madame de Pompador, mistress of King Louis XV and the inspiration for the name given to the first glass designed solely for champagne. She helped Moët & Chandon become a benchmark of prestige and glamour.

But it was thanks to the determination of Moët’s grandson, Jean-Rémy, that led Moët & Chandon to become one of the greats of the AOC Champagne. The secret lies behind the assemblage of their wines to create authentic unique products of great value. One of them, Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Rosé, is a champagne from their prized Grand Vintage Collection that perfectly showcases an exceptional vintage. A Grand Vintage Rosé made with the three classic varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, where the cellar master showcases the excellence and legendary expertise of the Maison. Aged for at least 6 months after disgorging, with a dosage of 5g/l and further aging in the cellar for at least 5 years, this sparkling wine made following the traditional champenoise method is synonymous with maturity, complexity and generosity. A champagne full of charisma that awakens a passion wherever it is served.

2012

Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Rosé 2012 is an elegantly aged sparkling wine boasting a vibrant bouquet of citrus fruits, nuanced with scents of stone red fruits and botanical hints. On the palate, it is harmonious, velvety, and exquisitely silky. This champagne features a delicately textured finesse and a subtly astringent finish that evokes memories of stone fruit.

2003 Huge and tasty in mouth, with notes of sweet fruit. Rich texture. Voluptuous and vibrant in mid palate. Delicious and powerful presence on the palate.

Pink golden colour with metallic iridescence. Delicate bubbles forming a continuous string.

Intensity of aromas that emerge gradually. The liveliness of the berries (wild strawberry, raspberry, currant) gives way to more intense red fruits. Finally, we find the sensuality of flower aromas (specially rose) and species (pepper and nutmeg).
2002 Harmonious and elegant palate. Round and fleshy density of the very ripe summer fruits. Liveliness of fruit of the forest (wild strawberry, blueberry and blackcurrant). Delightfully astringent freshness of the notes of mint and teas.

Deep ash pink colour with amber sparkles.

Ripe and captivating bouquet. Fruity and ripe notes of plums, figs and cherries. Subtle aromas of malt and soft, smoked and spiced (cinnamon and nail) hints. Floral notes of rose and honeysuckle.
2000 The density of this wonderful wine is subjected to a burning structure, vibrant, alive, resulting in a delicious and powerful presence in the mouth. Notes of blueberry and coffee leads to a final delicious anise and slightly astringent.

Gold color with iridescent pink copper metal.

The deep opening notes of red fruit-strawberries, blueberries, blackberries-are suddenly irresistible, as testimony to the warm concentrated maturity. A maturity that is rich, expressive, initially with heat from spices such as nutmeg and skin, then it becomes cooler with notes of ruby grapefruit, blood orange and pink.
