About Ysios Reserva

Ysios is a red wine produced by the winery Ysios in the D.O Rioja. The winery belongs to the group Pernod Ricard Bodegas and is located in Laguradia (La Rioja Alavesa).

Ysios is 100% produced from the varietal Tempranillo. The vines are 30 years old originating from 75 hectares over 8 different plots of land situated in Laguardia and Elvillar.

For production the most is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled 28-30ºC, subsequently is macerated with the husks for 25-30 days.

Once finalised, Ysios is aged in French (65%), American and Hungarian (35%) oak barrels.

2018

Ysios Selección 2018 unveils a spectrum of aromas, with prominent notes of ripe black fruits such as plums and blackberries, interwoven with a hint of gentle spices and vanilla. On the palate, its enveloping texture and amalgamation of flavors coalesce into a flawless equilibrium, disclosing a refined maturity and a lingering finish that beckons further indulgence. This red wine is a reflection of the harmony between intensity and finesse.
2016

Ysios Selección 2016 is a red wine with character. The nose displays notes of ripe red fruit, forest fruits, black fruit, mineral and spicy aromas. The palate is elegant, with pleasant tannins and mineral touches. Ripe cherry, black fruit and toasted flavours. Long and enveloping finish.

 
2015

Ysios Reserva 2015 is a concentrated red wine with powerful aromas of ripe fruit, balsamic notes and a well-integrated roasted background. On the palate it’s powerful, complex and well structured. A medium-bodied wine with noticeable acidity, silky tannins and a long, lingering finish.
2008 Wide and fleshy on the palate. Unctuous and creamy, delicate flavours of black fruits. Well-polished and integrated tannins and good acidity. Persistent finish.

Ruby red with garnet tones. Clean and bright.

Complex and intense, highlights of black fruits combined with roasted and spicy notes.
2006 Very wide attack in which this red wine is concentrated and complex. It shows polished and well integrated tannins. It has a good structure, a good acidity and a nice and long, persistent finish. Aftertaste with fruity notes wrapped by spectacular toasted notes.

Nice ruby red colour with light maroon edges. Clean and bright wine with great dense and elegant tears.

Complex nose with a good aromatic intensity. Its outstanding aromas of black fruit, such as plums and blackberries, are released along with elegant toast hints provided by the barrels.
2005 A reserva wine from La Rioja with a nice attack and a long, velvety, tasty and well balanced mid palate. Very good acidity and nicely integrated tannins. Very persistent finish that leaves a tasty spicy aftertaste. A well bodied wine with a smooth pleasant mid palate.

Attractive and very clean ruby colour. Maroon edges. Abundant glyceric tears.

Intense and very expressive wine with lots of notes of ripe black fruit wrapped by the complex spicy (vanilla, coffee, cocoa, tobacco) and in elegant toasted aromas.
2004 Soft, fresh and velvety.

Deep ruby red.

Aromas of black fruits, plums, blackberries. Toques mineral soil.
