Galicia wine

Galician wines are produced in the autonomous community of the same name located in the northwest of Spain and include several denominations of origin: Monterrei, Rías Baixas, Ribera Sacra, Ribeiro and Valdeorras. The region, influenced by Portuguese wines and bathed by the Atlantic, is characterised by differentiating between two areas with very different humidity levels. The best-known Galician wines are made with Mencía grapes for red wines and Albariño, Loureda and Lado grapes for white wines.
