Tasting notes Vouette & Sorbée Blanc d' Argile Brut Nature
Champagne Brut Nature Biodynamic.
Vouette & Sorbée Blanc d’Argile Brut Nature is an elegant and mineral champagne with notes of stone fruits and surprising light hints of red fruits. On the palate it reveals a pleasantly acidic texture and excellent length. The minerality returns and may even show a light saline touch with nuances reminiscent of a Chablis Grand Cru.About Vouette & Sorbée Blanc d' Argile Brut Nature
Vouette & Sorbée Blanc d’Argile Brut Nature is a “blanc de blancs” made with the Chardonnay variety that comes mainly from a young plot in Briaunes with Kimmeridgian clay soils that are more like soils in the Chablis region than the chalky soils typical of the Champagne region.
The harvest is carried out manually and the grapes ferment with their native yeasts in French oak barrels. No liqueur d’expedition is added, it is not clarified or filtered, and only a minimum amount of sulphur dioxide is added.
The Vouette & Sorbée winery, located in Côte des Bar, is named after two of the plots (lieu-dit) where Bertrand and Hélène Gautherot carry out their work according to the philosophy of minimal intervention: “no chemicals, nothing synthetic, only life”. Their vineyards and wines are certified as organic and biodynamic by Demeter and Ecocert.
The particular terroir where the Chardonnay variety is grown helps to create the Vouette & Sorbée Blanc d’Argile Brut Nature champagne with the profile of a great Burgundy wine but with bubbles. This is the result of unhurried maturation, an ode to patience.
