About Von Winning Win Win Riesling
Quality as the ultimate goal. This is the aim of Von Winning, one of the most outstanding wineries in the Palatinate (western Germany), home of very special wines that, even though they are young (without much aging time), are worth considering. The 42 hectates of vineyards that Von Winning uses to work his magic stretch from Neustadt to Forst, along the Wine Route.
Following biodynamic cultivation, this winery, one of the largest in the region, looks after the vines that grow on red and yellow sandstones, mixed with ancient coral reefs, basalts and other types of rocks. Most of them are planted in the east and produce the Riesling grape, a typical local variety. This geological mix brings complexity to each of their wines, which should be enjoyed at leisure. This is a recommendation from the winery itself, where they produce their wines slowly and in total peace, constantly maintaining respect for the raw material. It would be a shame to break that peace, don’t you think? This process, which takes time, ends with fermentation and aging in wood, with the minimum possible additives, giving this house’s wines an unmistakable touch.
Von Winning Win Win Win Riesling is a wine produced within the V.D.P. Gutswein denomination. This classification is intended to certify the origin and quality of the 200 winegrowers who are currently members of this organisation. The V.D.P. Gutswein, the lowest of the rankings, guarantees that it is an authentic German wine, made from estate-owned vineyards that have been treated according to the strictest standards. The best introduction to the world of German wines.
2021 | Von Winning Win Win Win Riesling 2021 is a complex, savoury and fresh white wine. Straw yellow in colour, with greenish touches, on the nose this wine has notes of yellow fruit (peach, grapefruit, pear) that combine with a juicy, fresh and mineral palate. A real pleasure to drink! |
