About Valduero Gran Reserva

Valduero Gran Reserva is a red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero made from 100% Tinto Fino grapes from vineyards over 30 years old situated between 820 and 888 metres above sea level. This wine is only produced as an outstanding vintage and with very limited production never exceeding more than 10,000 bottles. It has been aged for 48 months in oak barrels from six different origins situated in the winyer's cellar with natural and constant levels of humidity and temperature. Afterwards, the wine stays in the bottle for 40 months before being put on the market. It is recommended serving this wine at between 18 and 19ºC and decanting it before serving.

Valduero Gran Reserva 2014 is a red wine of character and elegance. On the nose, it features aromas of ripe fruits such as plums and blackberries, accompanied by subtle notes of vanilla and cocoa. 2004 Elegant and powerful wine with great intensity, which increases as it passes through the mouth. It has a wide and powerful attack and a velvety, tasty, fresh and dry mid palate. Its aromatic complexity is felt once more dominated by the aromas of ripe fruit and fine woods. Well bodied wine with high quality integrated tannins, which still need some time to finish polishing. Excellent acidity and a very long, very intense and very persistent finish.

Deep maroon red, with light tile red edges. Clean and bright wine with elegant tears.

Intense and complex aromas. Its deep notes of ripe black and red fruit are mixed with the smoky aromas and the hints of coffee, chocolate and leather with a touch of undergrowth. In the background, a subtle and elegant minerality is felt along with its good balsamic aromas.
