About Terra 00 Orange aShut

Terra 00 Orange aShut is an orange wine made by Terra 00 with the Garnacha Blanca variety in the D.O. Terra Alta (Catalonia).

Joan Ramon Bada and Josep Arrufat founded Terra 00, a project in the heart of Terra Alta with the aim of showcasing the essence of the environment and creating new sensations. They make their wines using ancient organic winemaking traditions and minimal intervention.

Terra 00 Orange aShut is made from vines growing on calcareous soils that are organically and biodynamically cultivated. Every process takes into account the biological cycles of the vineyard and the grapes are harvested by hand at the optimum point of ripeness.

In the winery the Terra 00 Orange aShut  grapes ferment in contact with their skins in stainless steel tanks for 45 days. The wine then ages for 8 months in 1000-litre clay amphoras. Finally, it is bottled without artificially filtering or clarifying and with only the sulphites produced during fermentation.

An orange wine is the natural wine par excellence, without additives and Terra 00 Orange aShut is a great example of this. A wine macerated with the skins that sensitively showcases a unique environment.

 

2020

Terra 00 Orange aShut 2020 is a vibrant and intensely aromatic orange wine, revealing tropical fruit, orange zest nuances, and hints of vanilla. On the palate, it is voluptuous, profound, and intricate. A wine brimming with minerality that captivates from the first sip to the last.
2019

Terra 00 Orange aShut 2019 is an aromatic orange wine with a pronounced bouquet of ripe apple, peach, and citrus undertones, complemented by chalky notes. On the palate, it is intricate, invigorating, and exhibits a distinct minerality. This wine boasts a palpable acidity, a velvety texture, and a compelling saline finish.

Terra 00 Orange aShut 2018 is an aromatic white wine with fragrant notes of ripe white fruit and saline notes. On the palate it is fresh, complex and enveloping. A well-structured, complex wine with a mineral character.
