About Sumarroca Brut Nature Gran Reserva
Sumarroca Gran Reserva Brut Nature is a cava produced by the winery Sumarroca in D.O. Cava.
This winery founded in 1999 is located in the municipality of Subirats (Barcelona)
Sumarroca Gran Reserva Brut Nature is a traditional coupage of the varieties Maccabeu, Xarello, Parellada and Chardonnay.
The grapes come from the vineyards of the farms Sumarroca and Sabartés. The soils of the first farm are calcareous, gravely and poor in organic matter. As for the farm Sabartés, located much further south of Penedès, has clayey and loamy soils. Its vineyards are also influenced by the ocean breeze thanks to the proximity of the sea.
As for the production, each variety is vinified separately. After a static settling process of 24 hours, the wine goes through a fermentation of 18 days at 14ºC.
Finally, the ageing takes place in stacks for 36 months.

On the palate, it is luscious, refined, and well-structured. This cava boasts a crisp profile with seamlessly integrated acidity and a dry, lingering finish.
2016 | Sumarroca Gran Reserva Brut Nature 2016 is a creamy sparkling wine with a persistent fine bubble and pleasant aromas of white fruit and yeast. On the palate it is elegant, smooth and enveloping. It reveals a dry and long finish.
2011 | Delicate and refined, with a graceful and slightly dry finish. Hints of citrus and a discernible effervescence. Medium to long aftertaste. Straw yellow with greenish highlights. Fine, persistent bubbles. Vibrant and intricate. Subtle fragrances of fruit and white flowers intertwined with yeast notes. |
|
Clean, thin and elegant with long dry aftertaste. Pale yellow with greenish reflections, bright and excellent transparency. The large amount of rosaries of fine bubbles that maintains a persistent foam on the surface of the glass. Pleasant mild aroma with notes of yeast, due to the aging of more than 3 years. |
