About Fabio Coullet Secuencial

The most beautiful landscapes often present unique challenges. Difficulty of access has been a blessing, because it has protected these places from human intervention, allowing the landscape to remain intact and preserved. An inaccessibility that has acted as a kind of natural shield and has safeguarded the beauty and authenticity of these natural environments. The Axarquia, a unique place east of Malaga and surrounded by steep mountains with slate soils in different states of decomposition, is where we find Fabio Coullet. This is a winegrower committed to his environment, whose project is based on the cultivation of native varieties in extremely difficult terrain.

Among the collection of wines he creates in such a fascinating landscape, there is Fabio Coullet Secuencial, a white wine made with the native Muscatel, Pedro Ximénez and Doradilla varieties. These are old vines that, as they are found in the highest areas (between 300 and 900 metres above sea level) and on slopes of up to 70%, there is no choice but to use heroic viticulture. In the winery, a minimal intervention vinification process is carried out, with the must being made from an extensive selection of the best grapes and a gentle pressing. Fermentation is carried out with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks and, finally, it spends 5 months in this same container on the lees.

The result of a combination of native grapes and landscapes, Fabio Coullet Secuencial reveals a magnificent sensory journey through an exclusive landscape within the D.O. Málaga-Sierras de Málaga, in Andalusia. The unique essence of the Axarquia,

Fabio Coullet Sequential 2021 is a creamy white wine with a citrus aroma and hints of banana and Mediterranean herbs. Sweet in the mouth with moderate acidity and a long finish. A limited edition, with only 9,066 bottles available, this is special.
