Russet Ratafia is a liquor boasting a splendid amber hue, extensively aged and subtly viscous. On the nose, it is fruit-forward, with nuances of apples, pears, and citrus zest from orange peel. Undertones of cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg emerge. On the palate, it is sweet yet harmoniously balanced, with a sumptuous herbal bitterness and a medley of spices. The finish is smooth and lingering.

Presently, Russet Ratafia stands as one of the finest spirits you can discover. Distilled using walnuts, this recipe melds medicinal plants, whole spices, and the quintessential green walnut (harvested around the feast day of Saint John). It is precisely at this juncture when this fundamental ingredient is at its optimal condition. The torchbearers of this legacy are the Catalan company Xavier Codina I Güell.
