Pepe Mendoza Casa Agrícola Velo Tinajas de Padilla is a white wine aged in amphorae for 6 months, produced by the Casa Agrícola winery using the native varieties of the D.O. Alicante, macabeo and moscatel.

Casa Agrícola is the latest project by one of the winemakers who has shown the most commitment to the D.O. Alicante over the last 25 years. The knowledge and experience that he accumulated as an oenologist at Bodegas Pepe Mendoza he now puts into practice in small craft productions under his own brand.

Pepe Mendoza Casa Agrícola Velo Tinajas de Padilla is made with macabeo and moscatel; two local varieties of old vines trained in traditional bush-style that, using sustainable agriculture and minimal intervention, manage to transmit all the purity of the Mediterranean.

Pepe Mendoza Casa Agrícola Velo Tinajas de Padilla is aged and refined in earthenware jars for 6 months. From the third month onwards the velo flor appears spontaneously. This is a layer of yeast that forms spontaneously on the wine and is necessary for its biological ageing. Without added yeast, and without decanting or clarifying, the wine is transferred directly from the amphora to the bottle.

2017 Pepe Mendoza Agricultural House Velo Flor Ánfora 2017 is a white wine that provides aromas of nuts (almonds and walnuts) on the nose, and notes of chamomile. On the palate it is unctuous and fatty, with salty notes.
