About Palacio de Bornos Fermentado en Barrica

Palacio de Bornos Fermentado en Barrica is a single varietal Verdejo white wine produced by the Palacio de Bornos winery under the DO. Rueda in Valladolid, Spain.

Palacio de Bornos Fermentado en Barrica comes from vineyards located in La Seca, Pollos and Rueda (Valladolid) where stony soils with a sandy-loam texture predominate and vines with an average age of 15 years grow.

The must ferments in French oak barrels for between 10 and 12 days, always at controlled temperatures ranging from 16° to 20°. The resulting wine undergoes a brief aging period (about 4 months) where it’s rounded off and receives all the benefits of its brief time in oak.

Palacio de Bornos Fermentado en Barrica offers us the chance to enjoy a complex and silky Verdejo, full of nuances, whose great quality has been awarded prizes such as the Gold Medal at the Sélections Mondiales des Vins competition in Canada.
