Mortlach Midnight Dusk is a whisky with an intense golden amber colour, featuring a fresh and surprisingly exotic nose, where notes of white grapes, flowers, lychees, mangosteen, and a delicate hint of lemon sorbet emerge. On the palate, it is smooth and creamy, slightly fruity, before gaining intensity with a lively acidity and a spicy character that gives way to a dry, warm, and persistent finish. White pepper and a subtle vanilla sweetness complete a profile as unique as it is balanced. A different whisky, designed to be savoured slowly, allowing each layer to reveal itself in its own time.

Mortlach has been crafting whisky in Dufftown, at the heart of Speyside (Scotland), since 1823, and its name has become synonymous with character and depth. Mortlach Midnight Dusk is part of the exclusive Diageo Special Releases, a collection showcasing extraordinary expressions from some of their great distilleries. Here, artist Till Janz transforms the bottle itself into an invitation to the dolce vita, blending Italian twilight, the amber of whisky, and the culture of the aperitif.
 
After traditional production and maturation in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, comes the true twist: a finish in Ramandolo white wine casks, a renowned sweet wine from northeastern Italy, and Sangiovese red, adding new layers to the personality of Midnight Dusk Mortlach. The result is rich and textured, yet surprisingly fresh and light, with an exotic character that invites gradual discovery. A deep and bold whisky that, nonetheless, carries itself with an almost effortless elegance.
 
Mortlach Midnight Dusk is one of those bottles you save for when you want to do something special without needing to explain it to anyone. A table at the end of the day, good conversation, some nibbles, and the feeling that, for once, there's nowhere else you need to be.
