About Morasinsi Rosso
Although Sveva Sernia and her husband Peter Geier have established a winery committed to the land and dedicated to giving it the recognition it deserves, they lack any certification to substantiate this. Nevertheless, for them, there is no doubt. Labels do not reveal everything. A visit to their estate is enough to clearly perceive their cultivation methods, work ethic, and winemaking approach.
Morasinsi is founded on three pillars: safeguarding biodiversity, creating a productive ecosystem, and crafting honest and inspiring natural wines that capture the essence of their territory. A unique landscape at the foothills of the Alta Murgia in Puglia, Italy, characterized by gentle hills, rocky ridges, and an extraordinary diversity of tree and herbaceous species.
Morasinsi Rosso is a clear embodiment of this philosophy. A wine that originates from clay-loam soils with limestone presence, with nero di troia grapes cultivated under regenerative, organic, and biodynamic practices and harvested by hand in small crates. In the winery, fermentation occurs spontaneously with native yeasts in concrete tanks with an aging period of nine months. Finally, it is bottled without fining or filtering to preserve its purity.
Morasinsi Rosso is a genuine expression of its terroir. A sincere, vibrant, and lively wine that conveys the passion of its creators and does not require labels to demonstrate its natural character and respect for the environment.
