Menade Verdejo 2024 is a white wine that boasts a straw-yellow hue with greenish highlights. On the nose, it reveals a spectrum of mineral aromas and fruit notes such as pear and apple, complemented by subtle herbal hints of bay leaf, fennel, and thyme. On the palate, it is dry, flavourful, and well-balanced, with a slight bitterness characteristic of the Verdejo variety. Its natural acidity contributes to an elegant and prolonged finish, leaving a lasting aromatic impression.

About Menade Verdejo

Menade Verdejo is an ecological white wine from Rueda made by Bodegas Menade, a project of the Sanz brothers established in 2005. This cellar also part of the Sitios de Bodega group.

Menade Verdejo is made from 100% Verdejo grapes from vineyards between 18 and 30 years old. The vineyards are grown organically, for treatment herbal teas or whey are used instead of more invasive chemicals. Also an organic fertilizer rather than minerals are used.

For the production, 3 harvests are carried out, one when the grapes are underripe, once in the daytime , done manually, and finally one by night by mechanical technique. These types of harvests are done according to the soil composition and performance management.

When the grapes are collected, a blanketing under dry ice (-80 ° C) carried out immediately before the grapes are pressed, excluding the process of adding sulfur dioxide.

Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with wild yeasts (from their own vineyard) at 18 ° C and 22 ° C. Later the wine matures with its lees for a short time Finally, it is clarified with bentonite and stabilised naturally.

Menade Verdejo 2023 invigorates the senses with its dynamic spectrum of scents. As one draws nearer, a tapestry of citrus aromas unfurls, featuring grapefruit and ripe lemon, interwoven with tropical hints of lychee and the sweet nuances of yellow apple and stone fruit. Upon tasting, it reveals a generous opening, marked by its harmonious acidity. A fusion of white floral notes and fresh cut grass, with an undertone of fennel and a subtly bitter finish, dances across the palate.
2022

Menade Verdejo 2022 is a fruity white wine with fresh herb aromas accompanied by fruity notes of peach. On the palate, it is dry, fresh, and fragrant. A very varietal wine with well-integrated acidity and a mineral background that finishes with wonderful bitter memories.

 
2019 Menade Verdejo 2019 is a white wine with aromas of white fruits on the nose, accompanied by herbal notes of fennel, bay leaf and thyme. On the palate it is flavoursome, fresh and balanced with a subtly bitter finish that is very typical of the variety. An honest and typical Verdejo with a long and elegant finish.
2014 It has a very fresh, good acidity. Dry, tasty and balanced.
