About Mauro Vendimia Seleccionada
Mauro Vendimia Seleccionada is an exquisite Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León crafted by Bodegas Mauro in Tudela de Duero, within the province of Valladolid. Since 1978, Bodegas Mauro has been producing limited quantities of exceptional wines grounded in two fundamental principles: the expression of terroir and meticulous aging.
Mauro Vendimia Seleccionada is a single-varietal wine made exclusively from tempranillo grapes. These grapes hail from vineyards aged between 20 and 25 years, cultivated without the use of any herbicides, thus ensuring the utmost respect for both the vine and its environment.
The grapes are handpicked and transported to the winery in small 15kg crates, where they undergo a rigorous selection process. Fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts from the vineyard itself, followed by a maceration period that extends over two to three weeks. Mauro Vendimia Seleccionada is aged for 32 months in extra-fine grain French and American oak barrels.
Mauro Vendimia Seleccionada is a complex and refined wine. Its remarkable concentration makes it an excellent candidate for long-term cellaring.
