About Mathilde Chapoutier Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire
The eighth generation to run the Chapoutier House, Mathilde is a restless soul. Firstly she dedicated herself to Olympic archery and then, at the age of 18, she gave it all up and went to study business administration on the other side of the world, in China. Now, on every one of her business trips, she takes the opportunity to get a more personal view of the world of wine by discovering unique vineyards that captivate her. On a trip to Provence, she came across the Grand Ferrage estate, vineyards lying at the foot of the Sainte Victoire mountains in Provence (France), and immediately started working them to showcase the hedonistic style that the daughter of the great Michel Chapoutier loves to produce.
The fruit of plots with poor, shallow soils of limestone and clayey sandstone, Mathilde Chapoutier Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire is a coupage of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault. Organically cultivated vines harvested at night to respect the natural balance of the grapes. In the winery, the grapes are cold macerated for a short period of time and then undergo alcoholic fermentation at low temperature. Finally, the wine is aged for 5 months in stainless steel tanks, maintaining its great aromatic potential at all times.
With a compass on the label showing the adventurous spirit of this winemaker who has travelled the world, Mathilde Chapoutier Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire is a rosé wine designed to help you enjoy life. An AOC Côtes de Provence Saint Victoire that showcases Mathilde’s pleasurable vision of wine and guarantees you a “vie en rose”.
