About Mas dels Ponts

Mas dels Ponts Bag in Box 3L is a red wine made with the Garnacha, Cariñena, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties in the D.O. Montsant, presented in Bag in Box format and made by Celler de Capçanes.

The Celler de Capçanes winery was founded in 1933 by 5 families in the same town of Capçanes, in the south of Priorat (Tarragona). 50 years later, 80 more people got involved in the project and they are currently pushing boundaries in making kosher wine (wine made in line with Jewish law).

Mas dels Ponts Bag in Box 3L is made using vines from different areas of the Montsant Valley. Strains aged between 5 and 10 years old, planted in clay, granite and slate terraces. The harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach their optimum ripeness.

In the winery, each Mas dels Ponts Bag in Box 3L variety ferments separately in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 24 to 28ºC. Malolactic fermentation takes place in a cement tank and followed by a gentle filtration.
