About M. Chapoutier Les Meysonniers
Michel Chapoutier, 7th generation of a family project located in the Rhone Valley (France), offers a wide and varied range of wines with a fabulous bang for the buck. Wines from the best denominations including the AOC Crozes-Hermitage, a small wine region which, although initially not very well known, wineries like M. Chapoutier have managed to put it in the spotlight with delicious and world-renowned wines.
Wines like M. Chapoutier Les Meysonniers, a red wine from vineyards over 25 years old. These are Syrah vines planted on gently sloping south-facing hillsides on soil composed of clay, pebbles and gravel. Organic agriculture is practiced and no chemical products are used that could harm the environment, and the terroir’s own identity is sought at all times. Vinification is carried out in the traditional manner with temperature-controlled fermentation in concrete tanks and routine pumping over and punching down. The wine is then aged in concrete vats and barrels for 12 months.
The fruit of Michel’s expertise and the composition of unique terroirs, M. Chapoutier Les Meysonniers is a creation with its own personality. A relatively light, fruity wine intended for drinking soon.
