Characteristics Lan Xtreme
Lan Xtreme is an organic red wine made with Tempranillo and produced by Bodegas LAN in the D.O.Ca. Rioja.
Bodegas LAN is named using an acronym of the three provinces that make up the D.O.Ca. Rioja (Logroño ,álava and Navarra) and was founded in 1972 with the aim of making wines that are faithful to the land. Located in Rioja Alta, they have more than 4,000 hectares of vineyards, 72 of which are part of their most prized estate, the Lanciano Vineyard.
All the grapes used to make Lan Xtreme come from an ecological plot of Finca Viña Lanciano. The winery uses sustainable winemaking methods, encouraging the fauna that protects the strain and avoiding the use of insecticides and herbicides. The harvest is carried out manually and the grapes are immediately taken to the winery to avoid oxidation or loss of aromas.
When the Lan Xtreme grape reaches the winery, it undergoes a double selection process, by bunch and by grape. Alcoholic fermentation happens over 2 or 3 weeks in stainless steel tanks with yeast from the grape itself. It is aged for 14 months in new French oak barrels. The wine rests in the bottle for a minimum of 9 months before it is put on sale.
Lan Xtreme is an organic red wine that preserves the raw material as much as possible. A great way to enjoy the essence of Rioja.
