Characteristics Laherte Frères Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature
Laherte Frères Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature is a biodynamic Champagne made by Laherte Frères with the Chardonnay variety in Champagne.
World-renowned Laherte Frères dates back to 1889 in the town of Chavot (Coteaux sur d’Epernay). A family winery whose legacy lives on through descendants Thierry and Christian Laherte. They work to avoid modern excesses, cultivating their 75 plots of vineyards in the most traditional and natural way possible.
Laherte Frères Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature comes from a selection of the best Chardonnay grapes from Côte des Blancs and in Coteaux Sud d’Épernay. These are strains planted in shallow clay-calcareous soils with chalk and limestone on the surface. They don’t use of chemical products, instead opting for organic and biodynamic agriculture. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum moment of ripeness.
In the winery, the Laherte Frères Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature grapes are pressed gently in traditional 4,000 kilo presses. Fermentation takes place with native yeasts and the wine ages on lees in old French oak barrels. It is bottled in the brut nature style (without sugar) and ages for 24 months.
Laherte Frères Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature is a sparkling Champagne that reflects the purity and minerality of the Chardonnay variety in its natural habitat.
