About Vinas Del Jaro 'Jaros' Tempranillo

Jaros is a red wine from Ribera del Duero prepared by Viñas del Jaro. This winery is located in El Quiñón, a town of great wine tradition in Pesquera del Duero, 1km from the Douro River.

Jaros is a wine made from Tempranillo. For its preparation, a maceration is performed for 14 days with the skins before fermentation for 11 days at a controlled temperature of 26ºC.

The wine is aged for 17 months in new and one year old French oak barrels of 300 litres. Jaros owes its name to the centuries-old oak forest that surrounds the winery.

2016 Jaros 2016 is a mature, deep and complex red wine. In this vintage it displays all the character of the variety with balance and personality. Ripe red fruit, with toasted notes and light balsamics on the nose. On the palate it is structured, with volume, and with a very lingering finish.
2012 Tasty, very cool, nice texture, lactic and fruity notes. There are soothing sensations of sweet, assembled wood. Good finish.

2011 Tasty with a very fresh, pleasant texture, and a milky and fruity mid palate. It has balsamic and tantalizing, assembled wood sensations. A good finish.

Red fruit, balsamic notes and spices on the nose. Clean with good intensity.
2008 Good attack and a light, smooth, tasty and slightly sweet mid palate. Very elegant wine dominated by the notes of fruit. Good acidity and good presence of pleasant tannins. Long and persistent finish. An elegant and easy-drinking wine.

Intense cherry colour with purple edges. Clean and bright wine with good tears.

Marked notes of ripe red and black fruit with fragrant notes of flowers, spices and liquorice and subtle mineral and balsamic touches are released on an elegant toasted background. When it opens up, the wine wins in nuances.
