Hacienda López de Haro Classica Gran Reserva Rosado 2013 is a complex rosé wine with remarkable intensity. Its salmon hue invites the discovery of red currant aromas and gentle earthy nuances, interwoven with sweet spices that unfold to the nose. On the palate, its mature character reveals a subtle umami undertone, creating a concentrated and nuanced profile that renders it irresistible for those seeking more than a mere rosé. About Hacienda López de Haro Classica Gran Reserva Rosado
Perfect conditions in the terroir, a remarkable climate, and the finest synergy between viticulturist and vine. The outcome is an exceptional vintage. All of these are encapsulated in Classica Hacienda López de Haro. This collection encompasses those wines that signify a pivotal moment. The kind that you know will not reappear for many years. And the blend of viura and garnacha in Hacienda López de Haro Classica Gran Reserva Rosado is one such example.
Hacienda López de Haro Classica Gran Reserva Rosado originates from the clay-ferrous soils of Alto Najerilla (nestled at the foot of the Sierra de la Demanda), within the DOCa. Rioja. The vines thrive in this northern-facing enclave of La Rioja Alta, achieving the freshest and most acidic version of their clusters. In this location, situated in the westernmost area of the appellation, the Atlantic climate prevails, characterised by mild temperatures and very moderate rainfall.
Hacienda López de Haro Classica Gran Reserva Rosado is harvested and brought to the winery, where the grapes are processed, and the berries and clusters are broken. The must and skins are left to macerate for 24 to 48 hours at a low temperature (to prevent the native yeasts from initiating fermentation). This will not occur until this tank is bled (meaning the grape juice flows naturally, without any pressure being applied), resulting in a rosy and very bright must. This is the one that will ferment in stainless steel tanks for approximately 20 days. Finally, Hacienda López de Haro Classica Gran Reserva Rosado will spend about four years in oak barrels (mostly first use), crafted in France and Eastern Europe.
The great things in life should not be overlooked. And exceptional vintages even less so! Hacienda López de Haro Classica Gran Reserva Rosado is one of them. Will you let it slip away?
