About Graham's LBV

Graham’s LBV (Late Bottled Vintage) is a fortified Port wine, made with the Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, Tinta Amarela and Touriga Franca varieties by Graham’s Porto, in the Douro Valley, Portugal.

The term LBV (Late Bottled Vintage) refers to late bottled vintages, i.e., fortified wines that come from a single vintage with special characteristics and that spend more years aging and are not blended with other wines from other vintages as is the case with a classic Port wine. Because of their quality, these wines are aged for 4 to 6 years in oak barrels before bottling, like this Graham's LBV that has been aged for 5 years.

Graham's LBV comes from a very promising vintage where the best vineyards in Quinta dos Malvedos and Quinta do Tua were identified, and the best batches of wines were made from plots with old vines. Following the harvest, the grapes were crushed and fermented in the traditional way, in the wine presses at the small Malvedos winery which belongs to Graham’s.

Graham's Porto is a century-old winery founded in 1820 by the Graham brothers and is considered one of the great producers of fortified wines in Porto, a reputation it has earned through two centuries of hard work selecting the best grapes from the plots of five iconic quintas in the Douro Valley. Tradition and modernity go hand in hand to produce wines that are known throughout the world.
