About Fritz Haag Riesling
Fritz Haag Riesling Trocken is monovarietal Riesling dry white wine produced by Weingut Fritz Haag. It is classified by VDP as a Mosel-Saar-Ruwer.
Weingut Fritz Haag is located in the heart of the central valley of the Moselle River. The oldest documentation for the property dates back to 1605. The town where it is located was called Dusemond, but was renamed Brauneberg, "brown mountain" in reference to the colour of the slate in the area. The winery has 17 hectares of vineyards growing exclusively Riesling, and they produce it in all its facets, from dry to sweet. Its wines are elegant and sophisticated and have a great ageing potential.
The vineyards for Fritz Haag Riesling Trocken are in Braneberg, Burgen and Mühlheim, in the Middle Moselle. Their wines show a balance between delicacy, minerality, fruit and flowers.
Fritz Haag Riesling Trocken harvest is harvested manually and in the winery it ferments with native yeasts in large wooden barrels and in stainless steel tanks.
Fritz Haag Riesling Trockenes is a dry estate wine with delicate fruit and good acidity and minerality. A good wine to enjoy on a daily basis and as an introduction to the winery.

2017 | Fritz Haag Riesling Trocken 2017 is a white wine that tastes of fields of wildflowers, apricots, fresh herbs and mineral touches. It has a good acidity that is compensated for by a few grams of residual sugar. It is a substantial but lively wine, which can be enjoyed as an aperitif, to drink alone or to accompany Japanese food. |
