About Dominio del Bendito El Primer Paso

Dominio del Bendito El Primer Paso is a red wine from the D.O Toro produced by Dominio del Bendito. The winery is located in the municipal of Toro, epicentre of the D.O Toro (Zamora).

The Dominio del Bendito winery was founded in 2004 by the young Frenchman Antony Terryn, who found his place in Toro after travelling through the best wine-producing areas in the world. The winery has 13 hectares of own vineyards, plus 15 hectares that are managed from very close by with a great respect for the natural environment. In the winery the minimum intervention is sought after in order to obtain the maximum expression of the terroirs.

Dominio del Bendito El Primer Paso is 100% produced from the varietal Tinta de Toro. Thegrapes originate from vineyards aged between 15 and 40 (60%) years of age and very old vines of more than 45 years (40%). The grapes are cultivated following ecological principals.

For production, the must is fermented and macerated in small stainless steel and concrete containers for 20 days.

After this process, Dominio del Bendito El Primer Paso is aged for 7 months in French and America oak barrels, at the beginning with its lees.

Finally, before being sold, the wine rests in the bottle for 3 months.

The Primer Paso 2019 presents as a supple red wine, exuding ripe black fruit aromas, sweet spiced undertones, and hints of balsamic. On the palate, it is flavorsome, fruit-forward, and profound. It exhibits robust yet velvety tannins and culminates in an extended, harmonious, and vibrant finish.
2013 Potent and fruity. Passing is unctuous with sensations of black fruits. Round tannins and good acidity. Very well-balanced and fresh.
