Domaine Bobinet Ruben is an organic, biodynamic and natural barrel-aged red wine made by Domaine Bobinet Ruben with the Cabernet Franc variety in the French denomination AOC Saumur-Champigny, in the Loire.
In 2003 Sebastian Bobinet started the Domaine Bobinet project by cultivating and vinifying the vineyards owned by his maternal grandparents. He is committed to using organic and biodynamic practices in the vineyard and natural techniques in the winery. In 2011, his colleague and sommelier Emeline Calvez joined him in the project and the winery has grown and strengthened as a sustainable and environmentally friendly company.
Domaine Bobinet Ruben is made with old vines cultivated according to ecological and biodynamic principles. Plant-based treatments are used instead of chemicals to maintain the natural balance of the terroir. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
In the winery, they work to a philosophy of minimal intervention. Firstly, the Domaine Bobinet Ruben grapes are gently macerated, followed by a spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. Finally the wine ages in French oak barrels for about seven months.
Domaine Bobinet Ruben is a smooth, fruity and easy to drink red. A very versatile wine that will go well with just about anything.
2015 | Domaine Bobinet Ruben 2015 is a smooth red wine with aromas of fresh black fruit, minty notes and a background of wet earth. On the palate it is delicate, deep and fresh. A medium-bodied wine with marked tannins and a somewhat earthy texture. The finish is lingering and pleasant. |
