Didier Grappe Pif Purple is a red wine made by Didier Grappe with the Seyve-Villard and Leon Millot varieties in the French area of Jura.
Established in 2001 in the small wine-growing village of Saint-Lothain in the heart of the Jura, Didier Grappe works a small Ecocert-certified estate of almost 4 hectares from which he obtains micro-productions resulting from minimal intervention in the vineyard and the cellar.
Didier Grappe Pif Purple comes from half a hectare of red grape varieties on red and grey loam soils. No systematic chemical products are used and all treatments are biological and plant-based. The grapes are harvested manually when they reach optimum ripeness.
Didier Grappe Pif Purple is vinified with as little intervention as possible to achieve the maximum expression of the terroir. Fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts and the wine is bottled without filtering, stabilizing or adding sulphites.
Didier Grappe Pif Purple is an amazing blend made from native Jura varieties. A delicious wine that’s pure fruit juice.
2020 | Didier Grappe Pif Purple 2020 is a smooth red wine with aromas of fresh red fruit, spicy notes and herbal hints. On the palate it’s intense, lively and fresh. A wine with bright acidity and marked tannins. The finish is lingering and persistent. |
