About Corimbo I

Corimbo l is a red wine made in the Ribera del Duero by Bodegas La Horra. Bodegas La Horra is a project in the Ribera del Duero by Bodegas Roda, a well-known winery in La Rioja as they are architects of great wines such as Roda Roda I, II or Cirsion Roda.

Corimbo l is made from Tinta del Pais, a typical variety of Ribera del Duero. The grapes come from old vines over 40 years old, planted at an altitude of 800 metres in the towns of Horra and Roa in the province of Burgos.

The harvest is done manually and the grapes are subjected to a strict selection process. The process begins with a maceration of the grapes. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in oak vats, while malolactic fermentation occurs in barrels.

Corimbo l undergoes a 16-month aging in French oak barrels (80%) and American oak barrels (20%). It is stabilized by natural means and is clarified with egg white.

Corimbo l is an excellent red wine from the Ribera del Duero. A wine with body, strong, with plenty of fruit and tannins of great quality that promise an excellent evolution in the bottle.

Corimbo I 2016 reveals itself as a red wine that captivates with its subtlety and harmony. Upon the initial encounter, it unfurls a spectrum of scents where blackberries and ripe plums assume a leading role, accompanied by a chorus of dried aromatic herbs and a hint of damp earth. On the palate, its concentrated profile is pronounced with an alluring fullness, as ultrafine tannins and a lush sweetness interweave with nuances of anise, tobacco, and cocoa, culminating in a lingering finish of cherries in fortified wine.

Corimbo I 2015 unfolds with nuanced spices and a ripeness that caresses the senses. On the nose, it is dominated by the presence of blackberries and plums interwoven with seamlessly integrated oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied and vibrant, with refined tannins delivering a silky texture. This red wine, without being overpowering, displays an elegant complexity that glides smoothly into a lingering and decidedly fruity finish.
 
2014 Corimbo I 2014 is an opulent red wine, exuding rich scents of stewed fruit, undertones of dried herbs, and nuances of toasted elements. On the palate, it is robust, expansive, and enwrapping. This wine boasts exquisitely refined tannins, a flavorful and vigorous profile, culminating in an extensive, spiced finish.
2010 Large in the mouth, with body and space. Notes of fruit, black fruit that slowly gives way to balsamic notes, minerals memories, earth and chocolate. A cool, elegant, powerful and characterful wine.

Wonderfully intense and elegant nose. Fruit against certain aging notes at the bottom. Black plum, blackberry, spices, balsamic herbs, bitter chocolate and excellent mineral notes.
2009 In the mouth, it is bulky and mineral, with ripe black and fresh fruit and reminiscences of the chocolate. Powerful retro-olfaction, with refreshing and balsamic notes of the aromatic plants from the pine wood. High quality tannins. Excellent aftertaste of ripe very black fruits, cocoa and refreshing balsamic notes. Incredible sensation of pleasure, power and elegance at the same time in the mouth.
