About Colosía Fino En Rama

Colosia Fino en Rama is a fino wine produced under the D.O. Jerez by Bodegas Gutiérrez Colosia, situated in the Puerto de Santa Maria, Cadiz.  

The winery was founded back in 1838 and is situated at the mouth of the River Guadalete, on the Bay of Cadiz. The location of the winery is perfect for the production of wines, with the dry Levant wind and the humidity of the Atlantic offer an ideal self-regulation of humidity.

Colosia Fino en Rama is made with the Palomino Fino grape variety, and is fortified to 15%, creating a cap of flor yeast. The wine is then aged using the solera system for 4 years. The wine is then lightly filtered in spring, when the flor is most active, and is then bottled.
