About Cocal Liqueur Cobana

In the Canary Islands (Spain), the banana has a protected designation of origin. It is a unique variety that thrives in the Canary Islands' subtropical climate on nutrient-rich volcanic soils, distinguished by its sweet and delicate flavour, firm and creamy texture, and thin skin speckled with black spots. It remains on the plant longer, which allows it to reach a higher degree of ripeness; it also contains more water, making it juicier and more flavourful than the average banana.
 
From this exquisite and distinctive raw material of the Canary Islands, a long-standing family tradition has evolved, where the Tejina distillery crafts rums and liqueurs with a strong Canarian identity; thus, Cocal Cobana Banana Liqueur was born, produced by infusing natural Canary bananas in spirits.
