About Cascina Delle Rose Nebbiolo
Cascina Delle Rose Nebbiolo is an organic red wine, aged on lees, produced by Cascina Delle Rose with the native Nebbiolo variety in the DOC Langhe Nebbiolo, in Piedmont (Italy).
Cascina Delle Rose is a family estate with 5 hectares of land. It is named after the large number of roses that grow on the estate and is currently managed by the family’s fourth generation, Giovanna Sobrino. She took over in 1974 and worked to showcase the best expression of the Nebbiolo variety.
Cascina Delle Rose Nebbiolo comes from vines planted between 1972 and 2012 on clay-calcareous soils with marl and sand. The vines are grown using organic viticulture and no chemicals that could harm the natural balance of the environment. The yield is limited to 30hl / ha and the harvest is carried out manually.
In the winery, the Cascina Delle Rose Nebbiolo grapes are destemmed and then fermented in stainless steel tanks for about 20-25 days. After the wine has been gently pressed, aging continues in stainless steel tanks. Finally, it is bottled without filtering or clarifying.
Cascina Delle Rose Nebbiolo is the result of an exquisite selection of the best nebbiolos on the estate. An exquisite wine that does not spend any time in wood and is a great balance between traditional and elegance.
