Campillo Crianza 2021 unveils aromas of ripe red fruit, with cherry and plum taking centre stage, harmoniously blended with sweet vanilla notes derived from its barrel ageing. There are also hints of clove and cinnamon spice. On the palate, it is a pleasant wine, with well-integrated tannins and a balanced acidity. Its finish is medium, echoing the sweet notes of fruit and toast, offering a concentrated and gratifying profile.

About Campillo Crianza

Campillo Crianza is a red wine from the D.O.C La Rioja produced by the Campillo winery. This wine is made using only Tempranillo grapes, the most common grape variety of the region.

The grapes used for Campillo Crianza come from selected plots of vineyards in the municipality of Laguardia, a town with a strong heritage in riojan wines. The vineyards are located at 650 metres above sea level and the yield per hectre is considerable.

The harvest is carried out manually. After being transported to the winery, the grapes are placed 30,000 kg capacity tanks where fermentation takes place, followed by maceration which lasts for around 2 weeks.

Finally, Campillo Crianza is aged in second year american oak barrels for 18months before being bottled, where it then again rests until being put onto the market.

Campillo is a company that forms part of the Grupo Faustino. Like the majority of the wineries in the region, Campillo specialises in producing red wines, especially of the Tempranillo variety.

Campillo Crianza 2020 unfolds a spectrum of vibrant aromas, with strawberries, raspberries, and plums taking center stage, interwoven with delicate toasted and sweet nuances derived from its time in oak. On the palate, it is delightful and flavorful, with refined tannins lending a smoothness and a fleshy texture. Its finish is extended and focused, asserting the presence of this subtly matured red with every sip.
2018

Campillo Crianza 2018 is a richly flavored red wine. Olfactorily, it is robust, adorned with fruity notes of strawberry, complemented by toasted and woody nuances. On the palate, it is delightful and savory, with supple tannins. It concludes with an extended, toasted finish.
2011 Full-bodied with delightful tannins. It is flavorsome and well-rounded, offering a very pleasant mouthfeel.

Clean and highly lustrous cherry-red color with a medium-high depth.

Aromas of strawberry and forest fruits are present, complemented by sweet nuances and a pleasant, warm toasted undertone.
