Berezko Patxarana is a pacharán of deep, vibrant red, reminiscent of a heart beating robustly. On the nose, its fruity aroma, with hints of aniseed and balsamic notes, transports us to the Navarre mountains, to the clearings where heathers and thymes bloom. On the palate, it enters fresh and silky, with an elegant passage and a finish that lingers, like a song that effortlessly returns to the mind. Long, profound, evocative.

About Berezko Patxarana

Berezko Patxarana is a beverage whose history is intertwined with the deep roots of Navarra, Spain, as well as with the signboards of urban taverns featuring lettering that evokes cities like Bilbao, Donosti, or Pamplona. Meanwhile, the colour and shape of the bottle bring to mind the curved forms and strength of the marvellous metal sculptures by artists such as Chillida and Oteiza, which defy time with the memory of authenticity. A liquid tribute to the Basque-Navarrese soul, and a bottle that is, in itself, a piece of art.
 
The Berezko winery, located on the historic estate of the Palacio de la Condesa de la Vega del Pozo, in Tierra Estella, Navarra, has been cultivating a passion for over half a century that knows no haste. Surrounded by ancient forests and meticulously tended vineyards, this is where this pacharán (a traditional Navarrese liqueur made from the maceration of sloes in an aniseed spirit) is born with a steadfast commitment: to make art out of nature.
 
For its production, each year the sloes are handpicked from their finest plots, much like selecting memories one wishes to preserve. Therefore, the vintage is marked on the label, allowing for the differentiation of the various nuances that the ripening of the sloes imparts to the beverage year after year. This, combined with a slow and traditional maceration process, results in a unique pacharán.
 
Berezko Patxarana is not merely a digestif. It is the after-dinner conversation that stretches on amidst laughter, the glass that accompanies a matured cheese or a dark chocolate dessert. It is a way to pay tribute to the timeless flavour, yet with a unique personality added each year and a contemporary aesthetic and intent. The pacharán that honours tradition while celebrating the present.
