About Barbazul
Barbazul is a red wine from V.T. Cádiz that is made by Huerta de Albalá in Arcos de la Frontera.
Its location between the reservoir of Bornos and Sierra de Grazalema makes it an ideal microclimate for the cultivation of the vine, with a remarkable temperature contrast between day and night, and an annual rainfall of 900 mm, quite unusual for southern Spain.
Barbazul is a coupage of Tintilla de Rota (a recovered native variety), Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, from the winery’s own vineyards and manually harvested.
As for the production, they carry out the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel. Then, Barbazul is aged for 5 months in French oak barrels that give it certain nuances, both in its aromas and flavours.
Barbazul is very fresh, young and lively. The little brother of Taberner, the flagship of the winery.
