In 1973, the innovative David Dand, an executive at the food and beverage company R.A. Bailey & Co., conceived the idea of combining two of Ireland's great treasures: its cream, the creamiest in the world, and the renowned Irish whiskey. After extensive experimentation, he finally discovered the precise formula and perfect procedure to blend cream and alcohol in a stable and homogeneous manner, along with other spirits, the finest chocolate, and exquisite vanilla, as well as other intriguing ingredients. Thus was born Baileys, the first Irish cream liqueur, which has become an icon synonymous with indulgence and pleasure, a unique and delicious beverage.
 
Baileys is crafted with Irish cream from milk sourced from small family farms where cows graze freely across thousands of acres of natural woodlands and wild meadows. Regarding the Irish whiskey, there is little more to say. The word whisky comes from the Irish Gaelic and means "water of life". Ireland has been distilling whisky since the year 1000, and it is one of the most internationally acclaimed.
