About August Kesseler The Daily August Riesling
August Kesseler The Daily August Riesling is a single-variety Riesling white wine made by August Kesseler in the VDP Rheingau, which is part of the Rheingau region (Germany).
August Kesseler took over the small family winery at just 19 years old and in no time at all he had transformed it from a bulk production winery to one that produces high-quality wines. To do this, over the years he has acquired a magnificent heritage of vineyards in the best areas and, starting with 2.5 ha in 1977, he now has 22 ha. He has also surrounded himself with a prestigious technical team and August Kesseler is now known as one of the best Rheingau producers with the wonderful Riesling and Spatburgunder (Pinot Noir) wines.
August Kesseler The Daily August Riesling comes from an exclusive terroir with slate soils. These vines feel at home on the steep and arid slopes along the Rhine river valleys and their grapes ripen slowly and with powerful fruity acidity.
When the August Kesseler The Daily August Riesling grapes have been harvested by hand, they are vinified by plot. They are gently pressed and placed in stainless steel tanks to undergo alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature. The different wines are then mixed before bottling.
August Kesseler The Daily August Riesling is an uncomplicated wine made by one of Rheingau’s cult wineries. A German Riesling with flow, to simply enjoy.
2019 |
August Kesseler The Daily August Riesling 2019 is an aromatic white wine with intense fragrances of tropical fruits and mineral touches. On the palate it is light, vibrant and refreshing. An easy-drinking wine with marked acidity and a very pleasant finish. |
